STORY
As a student project the aim was: to recreate a book cover of choice using handmade methods. I chose The Tattooist Auschwitz as it has a heart warming story of a gentleman who meets his true love in the concentration camps during World War 11. They managed to survive and escape the camps and go on to build a happy life together.

PROCESS
The jewellery wire had to first be stripped of the lacquered coating, then dipped in hydrochloric acid and house vinegar to make the wire look aged. The barbed wire was then constructed with a pencil and wire strands, and the heart made from felt.
